The day began well when I discovered that the bin men had been and taken away my big black bag full of my old cistern etc and other bits and pieces.

In my opinion the bin men taking away my rubbish is a gift and a blessing

There have been weeks when they have completely ignored me for no apparent  reason.

I wasn’t expecting them to come on Christmas  day.

That deserved a big cheer.

And although there was no snow, there was a lovely blue sky.

It’s been a nice friendly day. Sending and receiving messages from friends and relatives.

Reading a new book on my kindle.

Painting that rhino better…

And using fixative on my Christmas card painting as well as adjusting it a little bit.

I had all the ingredients for lasagne, but couldn’t be bothered to make it.

I’ve just opened a gift and among  other things there was a nice new wine glass. So I’m using it. That was a surprise as I had laid  the parcel away so I didn’t open it…..and then forgot I had it.

I had a good time at the pizzeria last night. Made an effort and dressed up.

Now it’s wine time and I’ve found an episode of Midsomer Murders I might watch later .

I can hear music coming from the church now. I always enjoy that.
