2025 in Perth…wild weather….

It has been so windy all day. We were just outside the red zone. If the wind is worse  than this in the red zone it must be really scary.

At least the wind is outside here, unlike in my house in Pisticci when it seems much louder and nearer and blowing through all the gaps.

Bad weather all over.

I had an appointment with the doctor today and Katy bravely took me in her little toy car. There is a tree down in the parking area of another daughter’s house, but so far none near here.

Hurray!!! My blood pressure is normal. When I went to see about getting an appointment for getting the cataracts fixed it it was 10 whatevers higher. I think I may have been slightly worried about it judging by how happy I feel now.

It was difficult to concentrate  today ,what with high wind and possible high blood pressure.

I painted a small vase of flowers. Tomorrow  I should  do something more challenging.

Only 15x15cms

This morning I saw that in 2023 I was painting the second of 2 big murals in someone’s  house.

This was the first one. I thought I’d never finish painting all these little houses. That is a sofa at the front.
I was inordinately proud of painting the bottom to look like the floor tiles.
I’ve never painted anything like this before or since.
I wrote a story  featuring the statues  the peacock and the swans.
The balustrade  was the most difficult part.
It included a door which had been specially made so that I could paint it.

I got dizzy going up and down the ladder to paint the higher up parts.

Again tonight, it’s so good to be cosy inside. The wind is still gusting outside and rain is battering on my window.

Wine time now.
