2025 in Perth….more painting…

More drawing to begin with….in the middle of the night when I  couldn’t sleep.

I drew these from memory, trying to work out the structure . It was quite relaxing.
These were from life this morning

After 3 episodes of watercolour challenge I thought I’d see if I could fix yesterday’s attempts at daffodil painting.

Could do better….
I used my new caran dache neocolours a lot in this.

Later on I drew some tulips and 2 Scottish castles.

My new laptop is too big to fit in an underseat bag so for the first time in years I’ll need to take hand luggage when I go home.

Now I’m wondering what I can take back with me in April. That’s  quite exciting. I could take lots of little paintings ….and as many watercolours on paper as I can manage. Or I could take clothes!!!

Today I found some photos from when I was starring in a video about Pisticci. The director has gone on to win various awards for his film making. It was all done in a day and was one of the most magical days of my life.

Me,  on a vintage scooter
The first scene involved me coming out of the door of this house and riding off on my scooter.
They used some of my paintings

If you look for VisitPisticci online the video is still there I think.

The scooter loaded on the truck ready to go to the next location.

I must have been busy in June and July 2019.

I found this piece of wood lying by the roadside while I was waiting for the next bit of filming to begin.
So I picked it up, put it in the car and then painted the scene where it was found. It’s a wonderful souvenir of a special day.
No idea who this was
The piazza
A little shed near my house
I painted this for a competition
Yet another self portrait. It’s only about 15cm square.
I think this close up looks lovely.

I’ve found a series on youtube I bought one Christmas  and it looks like I can still watch it. It’s called Inspector Nardone.  Brilliant!

Cheers🍷🍷
