2025 in Perth…feeling homesick….

I decided to cheer myself up by doing some retail therapy.

And bought a jumper for £5 from Poundland. I think I’ll wear it on my way home. No clothes for £1. In fact there are lots of things for more than £1.

Then I bought some more paintbrushes and a tube of better quality yellow ochre and hookers green acrylic paint. It does make a difference using better paint , but as I wasn’t expecting to be doing so much painting here I only bought  some average quality stuff.

Then I found a lovely leather covered notebook and a pretty pencil case in the reduced section……

Hopefully inspiring…..

Mostly since then I’ve been working on the latest round painting. It’s much more a mix of neocolours and acrylic paint than the others.

Probably finished

I’m learning something every time I do one of these.

I think I know which one I’m going to paint next. It has more water.

It seems that I was still painting Perth in October 2018.

Some of these ended up in a jumble sale in Perth. Better than in a box under the bed.

This portrait has a lovely story behind it and is now in Canada.

Chance meeting… and more.

Am in by myself today. But it’s not like being at home. I miss my doorstep. Maybe my flowers will have survived as there seems to have been a lot of rain since I left. May is when they usually look best.

Anyways, it’s wine time now.

Cheers🍷🍷
