2025 in Pisticci….a mixed day…..

I got started the “cleaning” about 9am and was finished by lunch time. My house now looks a bit shabby, but clean.

I’m still getting used to the colours. The shower curtain will have to go as it looks yellow. However  white things look shiny bright so the sink and the top of the cooker look great.

I hoovered the rafters over the bedroom. I can’t reach the rest in any way and have no desire to hurt myself  trying to clean rafters so will put up with the occasional bits of plaster or dust falling down.

Sorted.
This was only a bit dusty.
Gallery looks respectable.
Cosy.

It would probably be a good idea to paint the floor. I think that I’ve some white wall paint which I could mix with some acrylic paint to get the right colour. Then I would do a couple of coats of varnish on top. I did use a proper ( expensive) floor paint once and it wasn’t that good.  So I’m quite comfortable making up my own mix.

I might not have time though, as I’ve a new portrait commission with 4 people. I prepared a canvas for it , drew them all and have just painted over my drawing as I didn’t like how I’d positioned them. I know from experience that it’s better to start again.

I haven’t been out today, other than to put things in the bin.

Tomorrow I should do a quick fix of my flowers and get the portrait ready to paint.

There was time to order more round canvases to hopefully paint more scenes of Oliveto Lucano next week.

I’ve turned on the twinkly lights.

Now it’s  wine time.

Cheers🍷🍷
