Now that I can go home on Tuesday I’ve been booking all the extras needed. The flight was the easy bit. Living in an exclusive/remote part of Italy seems to be getting more and more difficult to reach.

Or maybe it’s just because I don’t drive. The train which would have made my journey from Bari to near Pisticci has been cancelled. I think I can get home via Matera with a private rail company which also runs buses. Or maybe not.

Needing to stay in Edinburgh overnight before traveling costs £50 more than the last time.

I think I need to think of a different route or method of travel.

Tomorrow  I’m going to have a day off. It’s been quite a stressful trip so far.

Today I was in Stirling. There was a horrible cold wind. I forgot to take any photos except of the railway station.

It’s been sunshine and showers all day.

(Maybe I’ll just hire a taxi from Pisticci to pick me up at the airport…….and accept that I’m fed up stressing about travelling. )

Anyways a day off for painting would be nice  before preparations for the birthday/ barbecue/ thingy start.

And I should be cheerful about my eyes being given the all clear.

So it’s  wine time now.
