What a difference there is  in temperature when coming from Scotland to Pisticci at this time of year .

I think it must have been about 35c today.

I woke early and got up about 5am.

My first job was to water my poor flowers and pull off as many of the yellow leaves on the oleanders as possible. They look much better now. I watered them again tonight .

After that I did 2 loads of washing which was quite dry long before lunch time.

It smells a bit damp inside so I opened the windows above the doors. I need to climb up a ladder and use a hammer to get them open.

Then I thought that I’d hang up a net curtain so that I could have the door open.

That did not go so well. After much pushing and hammering the curtain pole is now very securely jammed in the doorway. Pity it’s not straight. ……..

I put all my birthday cards out on the chest of drawers.

All my summer clothes are now hanging in the wardrobe and the winter stuff is in suitcases up on the shelf in the work room.

I’ve ordered 14 new big canvases which should arrive next week.

I remembered to cancel youtube premium which I had for a free trial so that I could download books to listen to on the plane. As I couldn’t get either my old superglued or new Bluetooth headphones to work while flying that was a bit of a waste of time.

And finally I found a bedside light for my little bed in my gallery. It’s much too hot to sleep upstairs.

I’m a bit tired now.

So a glass of wine , an episode of Midsomer Murders and an early night would be just fine.
