This morning after doing my new 7 minute core strength routine for the 5th morning this week, (very impressed with myself) I decided to have one last attempt at paying my electric bill, before I took the weekend off from doing impossible things.

As before the app just refused to do it. I thought I’d have one last go at the chat help thing and was quite pleased with myself as I wrote everything in Italian without using a translating app. After all the other tries I was probably much clearer and straightforward. 

I got a phone call from the Iren helpline 5mins after the chat thingy said I would. I knew exactly what I wanted to say and the person on the phone listened and said ” okay we can do that.” I confirmed that she’d understood me. Got off the phone and cheered! Then phoned a friend as I was so pleased with myself.

So theoretically I will get an electric bill in the post which I can then pay in the tabaccheria. ( like in the olden days!)

This may not happen, but it was the most confident I’ve ever been on the phone. Hurray!!!

That was closely followed by a phone call from the organiser of the exhibition I’m preparing for. And now he will come to my house, have a look at the paintings I am doing and afterwards we’ll  go and have another look at the venue together.

And then I painted hands.

Followed by quite a lot of work on the latest big painting.

There was a really violent storm…..which must’ve been specific to Pisticci as there was not even rain in Marconia only 15kms away.

I think a branch has broken off the big tree at end of the street.

I’ve got on quite well with the big painting which I hope to finish tomorrow and then spend Sunday painting edges and fixing any small problems with all 5 paintings I’ve done since I got back from Scotland.

Now it’s definitely  wine time.
