2025 in Pisticci  ..painting my floor…..

I’m a bit exhausted!

I was going to begin floor painting at about 7am, but Fluffy brought a friend who then fell asleep just inside the door and I hadn’t the heart to move her

But I got started about 8am .

Chairs stacked on rug.
Was a bit disappointed  with the paint I bought so I made my own for the second coat.
Made a whole pot of paint.  Adjusted the colour a little to make it more orange than pink.
My plan was to paint bricks here as this area is always getting scratched and bricks would be easier to touch up.

Now the floor in this room is varnished  and tomorrow when I’ve painted bricks across the doorway in the workroom I’ll varnish the floor there as well.

I was thinking this morning when I was mixing my own paint how at one time I would have thought that I was stupid for not buying enough paint,  whereas now I think most jobs are an experiment and solving the problems as I go along is a skill. I managed to mix the exact same colour as was in the tin, before I decided to make it more orangey.

Hopefully the floor will be okay for a few years and cost about €35 for the paint. That is including my home made stuff.

My house almost looks smart.
