2025 in Pisticci….more painting….

It’s quite hot again , but it was lovely when I watered the flowers this morning. They are looking very pretty right now.

I love oleanders.

The latest big painting with the dancers needed finishing before I began anything else.

The shadows now work well they are there, but not too obvious. It’s nice when a problem ( too much empty space behind the accordion player) turns into a big plus. I think it looks like the shadows push the musicians into the painting.

I’ve had some back and forward emailing with the electric company as no paper bill has arrived at my house. No big surprise there.

I was wondering what to paint next when I had an idea.

I love my blue chair. And I liked the passatta jar so much that I decided to use it as a vase.
Stage one using neocolours. I am delighted with this.

As I’d like to paint two subjects this week it occurredΒ  to me that I had a lovely photo of my door which I took this morning.

However I was disappointed with the result and decided to leave it and think of something else.

It just didn’t look right.

I was looking at the photo and wondering if maybe it  was only good as a photo when I noticed that there was no space at the front in the photo which was what made it more inviting.

The adjusted version. This might work….. or not.

I was going to go to the supermarket now , but it’s still hot and I’m tired. I think I’m more a morning person.

Wine time now. Cheers 🍷🍷
