I’ve now reached about 80% done with the two latest portraits.  I took a risk and added turquoise in the shadows on the blonde lady’s face . I think it’s worked . As she was wearing a turquoise  tee shirt it should be okay.  The couple portrait just needed a whole lot of finishing,  but apart from the girl’s feet, I think I’m done.

The good thing about painting is that there is always something that could be done better. I had to give up on perfection or I wouldn’t have got this far…  but maybe I should do a course on painting hands and feet.

It’s been hot today. Tomorrow is to be hotter.

I’ve had the aircon machine and fan on at the same time and its been fine. .

I had a surprise visitor this morning. I was in the gallery when Fluffy came through to see me. I went to check she had food and there was her kitten. It had obviously managed to work out how to get through my net curtains.

I made sure they both went outside afterwards and didn’t cuddle up under my bed.

I’ve cleared all my bins and a big flower pot from the other side of the street as tomorrow  the wall is to be repaired.

I phoned the plumber again. No answer.

Tomorrow I’m planning on finishing the two portraits.  Then Wednesday I should be in Matera.

Now it’s wine time. Finally I’m back to drinking my favourite wine. Hurray!
