I hadn’t mentioned going to Matera to organise a new ID card….or something similar, incase I spooked it. 

Well, that didn’t work.

A friend kindly drove me to the Questura and now I have an appointment….. in October!!!  I thought that the appointment was today.

I was hoping to have a new card to use on my next trip to Scotland in August. It’s a bit unsettling not knowing if I have a problem or not.

Not all Italy it seems abides by the same rules.

However at least there is a document saying that I have an appointment.  ( and 2 messages on my phone. 

Apart from that I had a lovely day in Matera. We wandered around a bit to pass the time because we were picking up another  friend at the railway station on the way back. I’d forgotten how nice it is to be out.

Back home I painted some more canvases black as I still can’t think what to paint.

My 2 colours to use in a limited palette arrived. I only ordered them yesterday. Very impressed.

Then, as I was feeling a bit unsettled I thought that I’d buy a nice cheap dress on Temu. I couldn’t find one. I mustn’t be addicted after all.

As I’m still ” off” my arms I’d been looking for a dress with short sleeves.

It then occurred to me that maybe I could improve my arms. So I asked CHATGPT. Good idea.

So now I’ve bought some retinol  and vitamin C serum  instead.

(I’ve never pretended to not be a bit vain. )

But am cheered up…..now I just need to find somebody to fix my cistern.. …

( been out and asked neighbour about a plumber. Will see how that goes.)
