I can mostly say it with photos.
It was so good. My paintings looked the best they ever have, being actually displayed rather than crowded on a wall or table. I was impressed. People were so friendly. There was a buffet. It was a big deal for me.

Afterwards kind friends who had driven me there, (we were held up briefly by a herd of cows, ) took me to a beautiful restaurant where the chef came out to explain what was in every dish. ( and the waitress is going to deliver my business cards to the venue tonight as I forgot to leave them. )
I had only added James’s portrait to the big paintings pile at the last minute. When I sat down beside the sindaco and looked over the audience I could see James looking at me from the other room. It suddenly felt just right. I wouldn’t have been in Italy if not for him and I probably wouldn’t have carried on painting at the beginning if he hadn’t nagged/ encouraged me.
So after after being driven home on a road where we didn’t meet a car coming towards us for 45 minutes walking through the streets of Dirupo and the piazza clutching my bouquet was just perfect.
I thought that I might as well paint it.

I definitely would like to go back and look around and maybe meet some of the people I spoke to .
Am feeling very fortunate and happy. I never expected this.
Wine time now and Sunday vlogs.
Cheers🍷🍷
