I was out early this morning to go to the post office to pay a bill. It’s not my favorite place due to usually having to wait ages…. though the staff are always pleasant when you eventually reach the counter.
I discovered that I could sit outside on a bench in the street and still see the numbers ,which was nice as it was a bit hot inside.
When I reached the counter I found that I should have filled in a form so I was sent off to do that. Normally I can work out what is being asked, but today I couldn’t make sense of it so I asked a man who was waiting who very kindly showed me where to fill in my name etc. (Thinking about it now it was not at all obvious)
Then the lady behind the counter waved to me to come over so that I didn’t have to take another ticket and wait for a half hour.
What a relief when I left. Two bills paid . One was to do with residency and the other one, I think, was the ” bins bill”.
I was so cheered that I decided to go for a coffee in the bar with the amazing view. I got a reduction for being an artist and someone from the North of Italy recognised me from a video.
Nice.
It seemed like a good plan to take some photos as I needed a new subject to paint.

Most of the rest of the day I’ve painted.

I found a photo of some buildings in San Mauro Forte which I might draw tomorrow.
It’s been relatively cool today, but it seems that it will be back to 37c on Saturday.
Wine time now.
Cheers 🍷🍷
