2025 in Pisticci….sigh!!!

Felt much better today.

Thank goodness!

It’s been hot again, but I’ve had the little aircon machine on all day.

However it was finally coming up with an idea for my stuck painting that helped most.

So what I’ve done is to sort of reverse my original plan.

Instead of the portrait of ” auntie Bessie ” who hangs on my wall in a nice old frame, I’ve painted an interior which was the inspiration for this room in the frame.

The book is called Writers Houses. This is Virginia Woolf’s living room.

It was after seeing this photo that I painted my walls green and the woodwork dark brown. After that I got a bit carried away, but that is where it all began.

I was looking at Pinterest and found some other photos of the room. I chose several and used them as reference. I don’t think I’ve ever painted beams before.

I used my neocolours to sketch the scene.  Have gone off the white lines.

Today I’ve mostly stood and painted.

Still not finished.  The flowers are only half done.

I’m not sure if it makes any sense, but now I like it. It was fun painting an interior scene.

When my painting is going well life feels in order.

Sunday vlogs next.

Cheers 🍷
