I was all set to go out tonight  to buy my traditional feste souvenir piece of cheap jewellery, but it’s been stormy for the last two or three hours. It’s cold outside and still wet. I’ll see what I feel like later  …….

From a quick glance at Facebook it seems that the whole region has been battered by storms.

I think it’s getting better here now, but there’s  still thunder in the distance.

However this morning it was just perfect. I arrived by accident in the piazza at the same time as the band.

I went home through some back streets.

I had forgotten how good it was to be out and about.

There is a lovely holiday atmosphere  in August and particularly  during the feste.

I didn’t do very much today.

Now it’s wine time. I think I might have gone off going out.
