This morning began with a thunderstorm which circled Pisticci  for about three hours.

When it was dry again I went to the supermarket. I needed food and to see someone who works there about a commission.

I found out that it is closing tomorrow. For ever!.

There is a new bigger branch at the other side of Pisticci…….too far to walk and carry shopping home.

I said that I’d miss shopping there as everyone was so friendly and was told that the staff would miss us too as it was like a family.

There is another supermarket almost as near, but it’s much steeper on the way back. (However they do sell very nice peanut butter.)

I’ll miss being known and seeing the same people every time. (Unless they all go to the other one?) 

My nice neighbour offered to take me in the car when she went shopping which was kind. 

I suppose all these steps will be good exercise………

And maybe I’ll find new things to eat …..

Most of today I worked on a painting of Pisticci during the feste. I sort of did it because I thought I should….as such I’m not very enthusiastic. 

Then I was stuck with painting people. Without people it would not be the feste. So I had to watch a couple of short videos on painting people to get some help. I think I’ve got an idea how to finish it now.

I’m not very good at perspective in  regards to  people. But I have a crowd commission to do so it might be a good time to learn.

It’s a bit cloudy now.

Just got a message saying that my exhibition  can be extended until 27th September.  Hurray! Now I can think about booking a few nights in San Mauro Forte in September .
