However first, the courier phoned about 9am and so I went off to piazza San rocco. 

I now have a lot of white gesso to use as a base for the mural. And more black gesso for canvases when I get time to paint for myself again .

I got on pretty well really today. I’m painting the olive trees in a different way than I would usually do it so I’ve had some difficulty working out how to paint the leaves.

Tomorrow will be mostly about painting olive leaves. It is proving a good idea to paint a version of the mural to help work things out.

Looks like tomorrow I’ll be painting hundreds of olive leaves. Makes a change from little white houses.

It is supposed to be very bright so I’m experimenting with colours too.

Now I’m looking forward to a glass of wine.
