2025 in Pisticci….the end…

I deliberately didn’t look for any mistakes etc in the murals this morning. They are what they are.

First coat of varnish was applied around 9am. It didn’t take very long

Next I pulled off the masking tape around the sides. I was very happy with the results.

For the next hour I filled in some gaps near the edges and then organised my paint into the suitcase. ( that was one of my new innovations which worked very well.)

Another coat of varnish about 11am and that was it done. I used the same varnish on my floor, so I know it’s pretty hard  wearing….and no one should be walking on the mural.

My mural kit. Ready to go.
Looks very neat around the edges.
With a few extras this would’ve made an okay painting .
I like this little girl
Maybe I should neaten this up and paint it as people are always asking me for views of Pisticci.
I love the shapes and colours in this.
No, the leaves are still wrong….but fun
I’m so pleased with all these colours.

So unless I actually go ahead and paint some of these scenes this should be the end of mural talk for now.

( Sold another of the olive tree paintings. )

This afternoon I ordered more paint to replace the colours I’ve used.

Then I soaked and washed all my paintbrushes as well as sorting out some nearly empty paint containers by mixing them with another similar colour. I don’t like nearly empty paint pots as the paint is difficult to get out.

Tomorrow I was going to start a portrait, but I might need to order a new canvas.

Maybe I will paint another olive scene …………

Now, did I mention I am enjoying youtube again without the adverts. The two euros or so that I pay weekly is so worth it.

It’s sock weather now and I was admiring my cosy yellow socks and the sandals I painted to wear to Scotland as they were speckled with white paint and then brought back when I couldn’t find any shoes I liked there in my size.

Cosy in here tonight.

Wine time now.

Cheers 🍷🍷
