I decided to buy some flowers today while I was out food shopping.

It would have been James’s  78th birthday.

Real flowers are nice, but fake ones are more useful for painting and then using in still lives. I bought three dark red roses as they were the most realistic.

It was only when it got time to begin painting that I thought it would be fun to use another scarf as background. ( Thereby creating a series….three so far.)

( I now have an excuse for buying pretty scarves. )

I’m looking forward to working on this tomorrow. 

I did a few things to the olive grove painting and then decided that it was finished for now.

It was hat weather this morning.

If I hadn’t bought 2 kilos of carrots I would have taken some photos, but along with shopping and three red roses I was a bit weighed down.

I was thinking how nice it is to plan new paintings and live in a tidy house.

One cup of camomile and melatonin tea overnight was fairly effective without leaving me sleepy all day.

Wine time now.
