I got up this morning thinking ,” Hurray, it’s Sunday. Nice relaxing day…”

Then I went in the shower room , sniffed, and wondered what the smell was. I looked around and then peered at the shower basin where the mat was floating! ( I really ought to replace the bulb in that side. It’s not particularly environmentally friendly when I can’t see what is going on. I had to get a torch to have a proper look.)

That might explain the strange bumping noises that have been happening recently.

Using a sucker thing, ( forgotten the name for it.) (Plunger) I managed to get all the water to run away.

Luckily I had a half full container of caustic soda. After a fizzing, gurgling ,smoking  dose of that, it seems to be okay for now. Not taking anything for granted after thinking that I had fixed the cistern myself.

Fingers crossed that’s it sorted. I’m thinking of painting the base of the shower so that I can easily see what is happening. And probably replacing the light bulb.

Other than that I’ve mostly painted today. I was not sure if this one was working, but when I put it with the others it had something about it.
