Today I drew another two scenes including lots of little white houses.
On checking them later I decided that the church is too big comparatively. So it’s either enlarge all the houses to match or shrink the church.

I wonder if famous painters thought like that. Sometimes when I read about painters and someone is talking about how they used a particular colour to describe something, I wonder if actually they had just run out of another colour. Or if someone had made the church extra large, it was to describe how important religion was to the village ….not, it was just a drawing mistake.
I remember when I was at school writing an essay on a poem about the Welsh countryside and what the poet was thinking when he wrote these particular words. Even then I wondered how you could possibly tell. Only the poet would have known.
I started painting the first one of this series and I don’t like it so far. I’ve enjoyed painting on a black surface and painting on white is pretty boring. I’m thinking of doing a coloured wash over the other ones before I start to paint them.

I was back up town in my new supermarket this morning and they had camomile plus melatonin tea, individually wrapped prunes and double chocolate kitkat. Nice!!
There were some lovely cloud and sun effects going on.

It looks like the rain is mostly gone now.
It’s my grand daughter’s 21st birthday party in Glasgow tonight. I’m sorry that I couldn’t go. It sounds like fun. And I rarely ever get a chance to dress up.
However it’s cosy here. And I haven’t watched the ” Mrs Pollifax ” film yet.

Wine time now.
Cheers🍷🍷
