After being awake since 3.30am I decided that I wouldn’t go out  today even if it meant having to eat fish fingers in the evening. (no hardship at all….)

Lack of sleep makes me feel a bit disconcerted.

So I thought that maybe I’d do something different at home as a bonus.

It occurred to me that I ⅕have been upgrading my house in little ways for the last few months.

The living room has a new brick floor, a rug, a newly painted door and the painted dresser was upgraded too. Then  my ” pantry” is looking good with the newly painted real dresser. My gallery is in a continual state of upgrade with paintings.

Last week I ordered a new quilt for the bed in my attic bedroom.

And the left over paint in the cupboard was calling to me.

So now the shower room has had an upgrade. I painted the part of the wall which wasn’t tiled. I had just enough paint.

In between painting the shower room wall I worked on yesterday’s portrait.

It’s raining tonight. Nice to be inside with the twinkly lights on .
