I went out shopping twice this morning. Most unusual for me.

Went to the big supermarket and bought sweet potatoes and various other things including a small box of Ferrero rocher chocolates.

In the small supermarket   I bought a frozen lasagne, various other things and two bags of maltesers.

Am definitely getting in a sweet Christmassy mood.

This afternoon it was lovely to have free time. So I looked through my ” throwing out” clothes bags and found some denim to fix the jeans I took in at the sides, then cut a bit out the waistband at the back because they were too tight. This time I tried them on before I sewed a patch over the gap.

Then I remembered that I hadn’t kept up my work diary for ages. Beginning of October actually! Spent ages finding photos , sending them , printing them and then sticking them in the diary.

Last night I took the small painting of my street and after looking for a suitable space decided to hang it so that it seemed to be sitting on the shelf of my fake dresser. I am inordinately proud of this. I love the mixture of fake and real objects.

My last purchase of shoes from China arrived today. As someone who still can’t find shoes I like which fit me in shops it has been fun having a choice. I might delete the app now so that I’m not further tempted.

Wine time now. Been a very satisfactory day.
