2026 in Pisticci….an unexpected trip to Matera…..

Where I didn’t take any photos as it wasn’t that kind of trip.

After making inquiries through a friend about my new ID card I was told there was a problem.with my fingerprints.

Having spent about 2 hours in an office today and redoing my fingerprints I’m informed everything is done now. Hope so……

It wasn’t clear exactly what the problem was, but everybody was very pleasant and helpful.

Thus is my Italian life…..half the time I don’t really know what’s going on……

It was a horrible drizzly foggy day.

However when I got back my new little hand held hoover had arrived. It’s a luxury item because I hate dragging Henry the hoover up the narrow stairs and through the trapdoor into my attic bedroom. I’ve already hoovered upstairs. So very easy. Hurray!!

I’ve just sold 4 paintings and I’ve 2 hare paintings which were fire damaged to repair. I’m quite looking forward to fixing them. One mostly just needs cleaned but the other has a big hole in it.

I’m thinking of the Japanese  kintsugi idea where the repair will make the painting more special. My chest of drawers was in a fire and it’s only more special because of all the work James put in to repair it.

The hare had a particularly  sweet expression.

As I’ve no pretty photos from today I found one of my doorway on this day in 2017.

Wow! What a lot of snow there was.

And this was a copy of a painting I did years ago as I pretty much refused to sell the first version.

It was full of meaning for me.

Now it’s after 7pm and it must be wine time.

Cheers🍷🍷
