It’s been rainy and cold all day. Apart from a quick trip to the piazza to meet the courier I’ve been home all day.

I’m finding that it’s quite comfortable ( with heater , jacket and hat) painting in my work room. Usually I avoid that part of my house all winter.

Today I carried on with the still life. I felt okay with the individual parts of it , but the composition didn’t work. 

So I added a big blue vase. 

Then there were a lot of colour changes, but at the end of the day it still wasn’t right. 

That’s where my paintart app is so helpful. I can download a photo of the painting and then draw things on it to see how they look. So much better than painting something and then changing my mind.

Progress today…..

I’ll  paint the twigs and oranges tomorrow. I think that might do.

The forecast is not great for tomorrow  either so probably do more painting .

I found 2 very old paintings from about 10 years ago on Facebook memories.

Wine time now. It’s still raining , but it’s cosy inside.
