2026 in Pisticci…..Riches….

Lots of new paint arrived today. What delightful potential. I ordered some new colours for the new small mural or wall painting which I should start next week.

Paints and matt varnish.

Today I mostly worked on a new portrait. It’s to be done for Saturday. Tomorrow I need to make a start on a sketch for the wall painting.

This is the easy part of the portrait.

However I got on well and it’s possible I could finish it tomorrow.

The gas in my new heater ran out today which was not surprising as it had been used for the cooker so there probably wasn’t that much gas left. The gas man hopes to deliver more tomorrow night as the main road into Dirupo is closed during the day for a month. There are other ways to get into Dirupo if you’re brave enough, but I wouldn’t risk it.

Luckily I have the pellet stove. It might be a good idea to sort out how to keep myself warm. I’m still mostly acting as if I can’t afford to use too much….but that’s not true right now.

Anyways it was lovely to see the return of blue skies.

And the bin men took my organic and paper rubbish. Hurray!! It’s not a given fact that rubbish put out will be collected. Two weeks running my glass and metal bin sitting in the middle of the street has obviously been hidden by a cloak of invisibility until after the bin men have passed. Strange.

Wine time now. I think I’ve got a nordic noir video saved.

Cheers🍷🍷
