Because I said that I’d finish a portrait by Saturday ….as well as work on a plan for something else I haven’t hardly been outside since Tuesday.
Good news is that I’ve finished the portrait as well as possible and started on the plan for a grape vine painting.

It occurred to me today that one of the things I don’t like about winter is having to wear clothes that I don’t necessarily like, but are warm. I’ve been wearing my 2 euro long warm jumper almost constantly as it’s very cosy….and now a bit painty and scruffy….with a short gilet thing I don’t like on top because it’s warm, but looks stupid.
So late this afternoon I decided to do something about it.
I cut the arms off an old warm jacket I’ve had for years. To say that I hemmed around where I cut the sleeves off would be a slight exaggeration, but I fixed them enough. Looks so much better than the black thing. Might need to cut the bottom off the jumper next.

I’m hoping the weather is decent again tomorrow. I’d like to have a coffee uptown and a wander around and not feel like I have to rush back home to paint.
The gas man delivered the gas last night which was nice.
Now it’s wine time and the weekend. Hurray!
I found a packet of maltesers in the freezer. Yummm!!
Cheers🍷🍷
