2026 in Pisticci….heading for the centre of the earth…..

I seem to get more excited and curious about big machines these days. So when I could see that the giant boring machine was near I changed my route into town to see what was happening.

A very tall machine.
It’s  boring deep into the road and then presumably filling the hole with something more substantial than earth.
I think this is when it was going deeper and deeper. I was watching the drill go down past letters on the ” other bit.”

You can see where the previous hole was drilled and filled.

I spent quite a while just watching. 

Then it was good to take my time and do some shopping followed by a coffee on the way home.

I watched a short video in the middle of the night by a supposed Sardinian old lady who said that the thing to do when you were worried was to get up and walk. I think it was AI but seemed good to me. Certainly worked this morning.

Might paint this.

On the way up town I found something suitably difficult to draw with charcoal.

I wondered if I could draw this with all the different aspects of depth.
I think that I more or less drew the scene , but not sure if Pisticci looks good in charcoal. ( I am still learning I suppose….)

The pen eraser thing arrived today so now the charcoal portrait is finished.  Hurray! It looks good and I’ve sprayed it with fixative so that I can’t fiddle with it.

Fluffy wasnt inside for long today.

She had time to comb the sheepskin. ( it’s  there to save my knees when crawling into the attic. ) I bought some more of the cat food she likes so she’ll  be happy tomorrow. 

Wore my heated jacket without the heating on today. It’s very warm even without being switched on. I have the battery all charged and ready to use when necessary. 

Wine time now.
