Today I cancelled my 2 day trip to Verona in March. I’d been thinking for a few days that it would likely be horrible weather and it was a lot of effort and stress for such a short time.

And then I booked an apartment in Verona for the whole of May.

I’ve never done anything quite like that before. But I realised that I wanted an experience more than just a quick look around. So now I can pretend I live in Verona for a month.

And it was affordable. (Though more than I’ve ever spent on a holiday before.)

I think Ive been dreaming of doing something like this for a while.

( brief pause , while I change the gas bombola  )

Today it was not particularly fun with charcoal. I think I got too nit picky.

Might do one more charcoal portrait tomorrow.  I’d like to be more free and swishy.

It was a beautiful morning  to walk into town.

Must be wine time now.
