2026 in Pisticci….onwards….

This morning I had an official appointment which I was a bit anxious about. However it went surprisingly well as I don’t have to go back.  Phew!!

Piazza San Rocco
Getting closer to the centre of the earth…….

Then this afternoon I booked a flight to Verona from Bari. I think I scared myself so I had to go out for a walk afterwards.

I had thought that I’d go by train, but after finding out that it cost virtually the same to do either and it was less than an hour and a half on the plane versus about 10 hours on two trains it wasn’t  a difficult decision. I haven’t decided how I’ll come back yet. The flight would have been even less if I hadn’t had to take hand luggage. Couldn’t really manage with my small rucksack for 28 days.

Work today, was basically changing some things on a portrait. Nothing very complicated.

I think I’m better starting work in the morning so tomorrow I’ll have all day until Pizza time to begin the calanche painting.

My battery eraser arrived. Wow it’s good! I think exploring charcoal portraits and other subjects will be relaxing. And I need to try out all my gadgets…..

It was 8 years ago today that James died. He always encouraged me to spend money. So I bought a skirt, a notebook for writing a book in, a sketch pad for taking to Verona and some charcoal. Then thought kindly of him.

Now it’s  wine time.

Cheers🍷🍷
