Being awake at 5am, I spent some time looking for Italian wildflowers online. I know I took photos of lots of flowers, but I could  only find a few.

Because this is a commission I’m painting flowers at the bottom. I quite liked the painting without them, but I think Ive added them in a reasonably artistic manner. And I like it now.

Painting style is a strange thing. For years I thought that I painted like a child and tried to learn how to be more sophisticated.  It didn’t work.

I think that this is how I want the world to be and I can’t be otherwise.

That is the painting about 80% done. Anything I add now probably won’t be noticeable to anyone but me.

It’s  been a home day . A bit gloomy outside.

Apparently it’s  been horrible weather in Scotland .

Tomorrow I think we will have sunshine.

Ive been watching more charcoal drawing videos and so I’ve gessoed three wooden panels to see how charcoal works on them.

Must be wine time now. Have given up on ” cocktails” for now.
