I have my new ID card in my purse. After a trip to Matera to the Questura again I was so happy when I actually had it in my hand.

It’s been about 10 months since my first visit. All the people working there were friendly and helpful….it just took a long time……..and 4 trips.

It is valid until 2030 and who knows , maybe  the UK will have rejoined the EU by then.

The second Hurray, is for getting rid of the huge Aloe vera cactus which was too big, spiky and in the way.

I didn’t know if I could get rid of it because it was so heavy and awkward to get at.

But after about an hour of huffing and puffing, kicking and poking with a stick I got it about three quarters out of the pot. It was very heavy.

My good neighbour offered to help and we finally got it out and dragged it down to the end of the street.

Pizza night again. Hope I don’t  ache too much tomorrow.
