I got a certificate for turning up….as apart from taking a few photos I didn’t contribute much more.
However I had a lovely time and I have a certificate to remind me.
We went to the school for the prize giving. If I understand correctly this is a school for older teenagers and specialises in classics. They teach Greek and Latin and judging by the writing on the classroom walls they might well be teaching how to think.
It seems that after primary and early secondary school then children chose to go to different specialist schools. So in Pisticci it’s classics. In Policoro it’s languages and in Marconia it’s agriculture. And there are more options.
I think that info is correct.

It’s been bothering me more this year, that I don’t speak better Italian. However sometimes when I feel particularly ignorant I realise people are speaking dialect….so I have no chance.
It was pleasant walking home afterwards though not as sunny as yesterday.

This afternoon I didn’t feel like starting to paint the latest portrait so I drew a still life instead.

I think I’ll start the portrait tomorrow morning as I’m better if I have a whole day to work on it.
Now wine time and more Midsomer Murders.
Cheers🍷🍷
