It started when I sneaked out with my bright pink granny trolley to collect 12 tins of chickpeas from the bar in the piazza.
Having got back again without feeling too embarrassed, I turned around and set off again to buy vegetables at the little stall near the Genesi bar and then go for an artistic coffee. I forgot to take a photo today, but I bought 2 more chocolate lollipop type cakes.

Then it was time to start painting the Madonna statue. I finished the blue cloak first and then in between episodes of landscape artist of the year ( waiting for paint to dry. ) I gradually painted the other parts. I think that it’s done now except for 2 coats of varnish. Unless I spot something I’ve missed tomorrow.

Today was supposed to be the day when I adjusted some clothes I bought recently. However after trying them all on I decided that I like loose baggy clothes so I wouldn’t bother trying to change them.
I found this photo of my fake window painted on a sheet on Facebook. It was from 7 years ago, which would be when I moved back here after leaving my nearly perfect little artist’s house. I had decided that I would have to make this house a little extraordinary to cheer myself up. I had to cover the wall as it was too damp to paint and I had a big white sheet. So I made a window.

Now surrounded by brick panels, a dresser, another window with a sea view, a vine growing up the wall, decorative tiles and a brick floor, (all painted) I think I’m well on the way to extraordinary. ( I forgot to mention also the extension upstairs, the lilly pond shower and painted Mexican style floor tiles.)
Wine time now.
Cheers 🍷🍷
