Last night I was told that I need another ID card. I don’t exactly understand what I got last month in Matera. However this morning I was in the queue at the comune office which deals with ” stuff.”
While talking to the lady in front of me I found out that I had until August to change my pink paper ID card to a digital thingy.
So after explaining what I needed to the helpful man in the office I was sent off to the tabachi to pay 22 euros for a tax . Then I returned to the office. There was a longer queue. But to be honest the sun was shining and I was glad to be out.
Back in the office it was all going well until he got the fingerprint machine out. I don’t know what is wrong with my fingers….but they don’t show up on the machine. However I now have all the documents necessary and need to return in a week to collect my new ID card.

It was lovely to be out. I met friends and got enough shopping to last until the weekend. And went for a coffee.

Back home I decided to try on some of my new clothes.

The yellow jacket makes me feel happy.
This afternoon I unsuccessfully tried to adjust a pair of sandals and realised my toe would have preferred a little less exercise.
I spent some time on the still life, but think I’ll try and finish it tomorrow.

It was a lovely morning.

Wine time now.
Cheers 🍷🍷
