What with a sore toe and sore back I’ve been spending more time than normal at home without going out. It doesn’t take long before I need some exercise and some human contact.
I was thinking about this recently. It’s all relative . I know at least 2 people who never left their houses for years. Though they did have regular visitors. I can’t imagine not being able to go for a walk or a coffee or shopping or to meet friends. But during lockdown I must have managed.
Anyways unless it’s torrential rain I’m off to see what’s happening in Pisticci.
Today I pottered about with watercolours again. I was a bit bored.
So I thought that I’d do something difficult.

I like to try difficult things because if I fail then it is because the subject was too complicated.

I’m quite liking the tiny books.
Next I tried a larger version of a similar scene, but on bigger paper and using neocolours as a base.

After a small siesta I thought that I’d try something else.

Maybe I’ll pack up the watercolours tomorrow and start another big still life. I have two weeks until I leave for Scotland. Plenty of time to do two if I feel like it.
I’m so glad that I’m feeling better.
Maybe I’ll go and set up a new still life now……
Or have a glass of wine…..
Cheers 🍷🍷
