Hurray for a good night’s  sleep. What a treat!

Today I had several good ideas.

First one was to light the pellet stove and stay warm.

Then, having seen a painting of a flower shop in gouache that I liked I thought that I’d look for photos of flower shops in Verona. That led to finding a website with lots of photos of Verona which I’ve now put into a folder so that I have lots to use as practice.

I prefer to paint from my own photos, but as this is for learning then it’s okay.

Also it might be fun to go and look for the places I’ve drawn and then draw them again, having been there.

I only drew one scene today.

Another good idea was to put decorative shoelaces in some of my shoes. Much better.

Another good idea was to wear my new tartan skirt so that I could get used to it. ( Going to wear it to the Lanterna tonight.)

Then I stuck anti slip soles onto new sandals. I think that qualifies as a good idea. In Pisticci there are a lot of tiled road surfaces which are quite slippy normally, and positively scary when wet.

Now I think I’ll watch some more painting videos before I go out. I’m getting a lift as I’m  being kind to my toe….. and it’s  raining.
