2026 in Pisticci…happy packing…..

It rained more or less all day.

Still raining…

It seems there are some floods.

Tonight there are a lot of bells ringing. It used to be that on the Thursday before Good Friday, all the churches in Pisticci would be decorated and open to visit. I don’t know if that is still happening.

However I’m home and as part of “being kind to my toe” involves being able to only wear one of my pairs of shoes which are almost certainly not waterproof then I’m not going to investigate.

Today I mostly packed….as I put everything I need in my rucksack  to see if it would fit. ( then took it all out again.) It’s, I suppose a different kind of skill to pack everything into a very small underseat rucksack.

I don’t need clothes as there are plenty at Katy’s  house, but as I will be spending 9 hours at the airport I’ve managed to fit, 2 sketch books, crayons, paints, pens, a notebook to write a best selling novel in….maybe I should take a bigger one…..and my kindle with several new books loaded.

My tablet and a stylus pen so I can paint like David Hockney and my teeny tiny camera so that I can practice taking photos.

And my passport and make up obviously.

I’ve even worked out what to wear when the temperature here might be 21C, but I’m going to Scotland! ( layers, a cardigan instead of a jumper, and trousers with lots of pockets.)

It was quite fun. Like a sort of game where you need to fit a lot of odd shapes into a box.

I had time to paint with more of the shavings from the neocolours.

Need plenty of practice drawing, but I’m enjoying this.
Close up of the shavings.

It’s  supposed to stop raining sometime tomorrow.  I need to go out.

Wine time now.

Cheers🍷🍷
