2026 in Pisticci…what a lovely day…..

It was still bit grey and damp, but I’ve discovered that my ” bouncy ” trainers are wearable with my toe brace thingy. Hurray! I can have cosy feet again. ( Is  important  to me….😂)

Scottish weather…..
Helicopter…..little things are important here. It doesn’t look like the yellow one which is for emergency transport to hospital.

It was good to be out again.

The atmosphere in the butcher’s where I buy wine was very friendly with everyone wishing each other Happy Easter.

Then in the farmacia they had seen me passing and had my pills all wrapped and ready to go…….and more good wishes.

I don’t take the kindness and friendliness of people  for granted. It’s a privilege to live here.

Next I met friends for an artistic coffee.

Three artistic coffees.
The piazza was really busy.
Easter treat.

When I went to pay at the bar a young man who was standing there smiled and held out his phone to show me a photo of a painting I had done of him several years ago. That made me very happy. (I still have the vague feeling that my paintings are put at the back of people’s cupboards. Even though there is no evidence for this belief. )

Am still smiling about that.

I suppose there is still a part of me who is a shy little girl from the farm who stood out for having glasses and big feet.

Even the postman wished me a Happy Easter.

I watched a video about painting roses after lunch, but got a bit bored.

So went off to draw another Verona scene. I’m assuming that I will get better with practice. I used a different pen today which felt better.

Thought this wasn’t too complicated.

I was listening out for a procession tonight, but I don’t hear anything and I couldn’t  find any information about what time it might be.

Have just arranged to meet my cousin in Scotland. Haven’t seen her for years. That will be fun.

So it’s  wine time now. cheers. 🍷🍷
