I forgot about painting a self portrait in the style of Rembrandt.

And instead I started watching a YouTube video about painting figures on the beach.

It was by Jane Slivka.

I tried to paint along with it.

I cheated a lot.

Especially at the end.

I’m still wondering about what my next project might be. On that subject I’m enjoying reading ” The creative act. A way of being .” By Rick Rubin. All the chapters are short so I can read one a day.

The day started well when I realised that I had a photo of my health card which I may have lost….or it’s in the farmacia which is closed for a holiday. At least I have all the details and proof that I had one. I hate Brexit for making me so anxious about things like this. It’s all so complicated that officials here don’t always know the new rules.

Back to the mural tomorrow. Plan to finish by Friday.
