2023 in Pisticci….back home…

I arrived at my house just before midnight.

As journeys go it was okay. My only real problem was finding the bus station – and the bus – in Naples. It was more by luck than good judgement that I got on to it. If I had listened to several different pieces of advice I would have missed it. However if I was to do that route again I think I could find the bus station by myself and now I understand the system.( there is no system…you just check out every bus all the way along the platform.)

Despite my previous recce to find the airport bus stop, I was persuaded into a shared taxi to the station. It was fine and I would do it again. Being in a taxi in Naples was pretty exciting. There were 2 girls from Scotland in it on their first visit to Italy . I think the journey to the station was probably only the first of their adventures.

It’s not as cold as I expected in my house and I’ve still not turned the heater on. There was a cold wind outside , but blue skies. ( I’ve missed them.)

I’ve lazed around most of today. It was a full on holiday and both journeys were pretty tiring.

I was woken at 7am by my little fluffy friend climbing up my door. I don’t know how she knew I was back. She was very affectionate. Maybe she missed me.

And she was hungry

I went to the supermarket where as usual it felt like a social event.

Lovely sky
Very clear day
Lots of depth in this scene
Arty photo
Typical street
Just liked this

Tomorrow I plan to brush up the plaster which has fallen off my doorway , water my plants and pay my electric bill. Nothing too energetic.

Now I have a lot of vlogs to catch up on.

And some wine to drink.

Cheers🍷🍷
