I only bought the sketchbook due to the cute cat and because it didn’t have a hard cover.
It’s not as good quality as many of my other unused smart black ones.
The paper isn’t very thick and it’s bigger than I expected.
But I love that cat!
And because it’s not so good, then it’s not so threatening. I can make a mess, and scribble and do rubbish drawings and write nonsense.
I’m really enjoying it!
I’ve been experimenting with different crayons etc.
It occurred to me that I could stick watercolour paper on some of the pages and then I could use watercolours without them going right through the paper.
Then I wondered if I should stick some other paper on random pages.
At this point I decided that I needed to go to the Meetmarket for inspiration.
I bought sellotape, a pen with additional refills, a white mystery thing, a child’s book with coloured paper and a pencil sharpener.
At that point I was distracted by a large blue plastic bath.
Back to my upgraded sketch pad.
It made me very happy to do this today. I enjoyed making something special and unique. (I might have some more ideas yet. )
But the biggest thing is that it’s not full of scary white pages.
Hopefully there will soon be some fun drawings, a bit of writing and who knows what else in it.
Now it’s wine time. Been a lovely day.
Cheers🍷🍷
