2024 in Pisticci….success…..

This morning I turned my bin into an antique  vase in the style of the painter of Pisticci.

Before. ( the air conditioner is lurking under the net curtain. )
Used black chalk paint. Expensive but brilliant. ( didn’t paint the bits that wouldn’t be seen)
Getting comfortable and using the vase I painted as reference.
Quite pleased with the result.
In position and with leaves growing out of it.
I think it fits in quite nicely.

There are 2 coats of varnish on the lid.

It will make me smile every time I use it.

I wouldn’t have moved it there if it hadn’t been that I needed to put the air conditioner  in its previous place.

Speaking of which. ……

Fitting the hose took me 2 minutes  .

Trying to get it to start, was a whole new problem. 

I decided that was enough for today. I thought that I might need a new socket to plug it into. I don’t really understand electricity or Italian plugs etc.

However a friend who is an electrician  was a great help. I don’t need another socket. I did need to put the batteries in the right way and switching the extension cable on is necessary for electricity to flow!

It doesn’t seem nearly so scary now. The  little hatch opening out to the post door is perfect for the hose. And I might even have options to move it to other places in my house.

Might need to paint that corner.

For now I’m just very happy that it works and I don’t have to put in on Ebay.

It looks like there might be another storm coming.

Tomorrow  I’d better start the painting I was going to work on today.

And I can be cool whenever I like.
