2024 in Pisticci…..speed painting……

My giant tile commission  is almost finished. It’s been  an interesting project thanks to the time limit. There was no time to fiddle about …..or get bored.

I think I should be finished by lunch time tomorrow…or even earlier. Then it needs 2 coats of varnish as it’s to go somewhere  outside. It’s a surprise gift.

Apart from a lovely visit with friends I painted all day. Started at 7am and finished at 5pm.

Then it seems that I have got enough energy to go out if it’s necessary.  I needed to collect pills from the farmacia. Usually I put things off to the next day.

I’ve been fiddling around with the drawing I did of Gwen John. It’s not a particularly good likeness , but it’s been fun experimenting with different mediums.

Sketchbook is proving a useful tool

And lastly there is a lovely smell in here. I forget what these flowers are, but 2 of them are better than an airfreshener as well as looking pretty.

If I had time I’d paint them again.

Now it’s wine time ……and Friday. Tomorrow its my oldest daughter’s birthday. I think she’s  46.

Cheers🍷🍷
