2025 in Pisticci…..” bye pretty paintings”.

It was with mixed feelings I said goodbye to 4 big colourful scarf and flower paintings. I know they are going to a good home, but my gallery is duller without them.

So today I’ve been busy replacing them with smaller versions.

Finished
Finished
Nearly finished.

They are only 20x30cms. I have another 2 canvases so I can have five. It’s interesting making small versions.

I did quite a lot of preparation……which meant painting canvases black.

Now I’ve 2 big canvases  ready as well as the other three small ones.

And while I was doing this it occurred to me that I had another scarf which I hadn’t yet painted with flowers.

I think this might be fun to paint.

This morning as I was eating  breakfast and watching the Australian version of Portrait Artist of the Year I thought how nice my fake dresser looks.

I think it was a good idea to paint the back and drawers with the dark green paint I used on the door.

It’s been a good working day. Tomorrow  I need to go out and hopefully I’ll complete another small scarf and flowers painting.

I’m still waiting for a new scarf to arrive. It seemed to arrive in Matera and then nothing.

Wine time now.

Cheers🍷🍷
