Everything went much better today, despite a restless night where I was watching videos on painting leaves at 3am.

I did a quick leaf practice painting before I left home.

It was a lovely morning even though it was 6C in corso margherita. 

I decided to begin today by painting a group of leaves, just to prove to myself that I could. And I could.

They’re not like the ones on YouTube,  but I like them.

So I painted lots of leaves and several bunches of grapes. Then I painted some of the stem.

Then I’m  going to extend the branches in both directions and paint grass around the base of the stem.  After that I have some varnish to apply. I think it will take me until Friday.

This afternoon I decided to see what it was like to sit on my bed with a rug over me ( and the electric blanket on) and write or do stuff on my laptop. It felt good , apart from nearly falling asleep. The ” killer” back rest makes such a difference. I’m so glad I bought the little wooden bed table. It’s like giving myself an extra room/ office.

No pizza tonight. I’m  tired.
