I’m having an interesting time keeping myself warm.
That is I haven’t quite worked out how to do it.
( compared to living in Ukraine in minus temperatures with no heating there is no comparison.)
However 15C is not very warm.
And there is no need for it to be like this. I think it’s psychological. I just can’t seem to turn up the heating.
It’s not a financial problem any more. I can afford to be warmer, but I seem to have some deep seated aversion to being comfortable.
Weird!!
I’m lucky that at least it’s a short winter in Italy. And three quarters of the year it is absolutely fine.
However after watching a YouTube video at 4am this morning I’ve ordered a heated waistcoat thing. I have great hopes for this.
I did happen to read something about people in the north of Scotland whose houses were never warmer than 15C and were very healthy compared to people with central heating.
Anyways enough of that…..
Today I enjoyed walking across town to get to where I’m painting even though it was a bit dull.

I got on well today and achieved what I’d set out to do. ( aided by a nice warm house, nut and apple pastry and coffee.)

I’m hoping to have time tomorrow to start neatening things up, adding shadows and so on. That’s a nice stage.
I was going to start a portrait in charcoal this afternoon, but it was cold and I was tired. I’ve found the charcoal though, and the paper……
Am glad it’s wine time now. I’ve got two candles burning in some glass candle holders which arrived yesterday. (I had a box of about 30 candles which kept falling out of my nice Swedish candle sticks.)
Candles are cheerful.
Cheers🍷🍷
Fluffy spent most of the afternoon inside with me. She doesn’t like the latest catfood and keeps hoping that there is better stuff in the box…..
