Today I had to make two trips to the piazza to collect parcels. ( the main road into Dirupo  is closed for a month.)

The first two parcels contained my travelling coat which is exactly what I wanted. Lightweight, squishable and big enough to wear lots of jumpers underneath ……..

And two solar lights.

There were also two summer dresses……..

Then later on I rushed out to collect the next parcel.  It had my new heated gilet in it. What luxury!

It’s been a day of parcels as my new charcoal pencils and putty rubbers arrived with the postman.

I’ve tried them out and tomorrow  I plan to start the charcoal portrait. 

Then when I was having a break, reading upstairs, there was a knock at the door and it was my ” kindred spirits”.

Sometimes I feel a little lonely, not because I’m alone , but because I feel different. However this afternoon over a cup of earl grey tea I felt just right. Still smiling.

And I’ve just been wearing my new heated gilet as I had to charge the power pack before I could use it. What bliss!.

And as if there were not enough lovely moments today …someone pointed out that the roof in my painted window  matched exactly with the real thing.

Wine time now.
