2026 in Pisticci…..friendly strangers…..

I hope that when I go to Verona I meet lots of friendly strangers. I enjoyed meeting friends and family in Scotland, but I was also very happy to chat to strangers. I’m still smiling about last night’s conversation which lasted the whole flight. Even though there was a 40 year difference in age.  Maybe when I say I’ve always felt 19 plus experience it was more true than I realised.

I remember years ago when I decided that I’d like to be special, but that meant that everyone else had to be special too. Then I spent time finding out,  in a casual way, just what made other people  special . And that’s how I remember them now. It just took a bit of interest and listening.

As well as meeting strangers I have so many ideas and plans for my time in Verona. There is no way I can achieve all of them.

Today I was quite tired and spent a fair amount of time watching videos on writing and painting.

And then I looked at how much I wanted to take with me on the trip …….I’ve reduced it by about a third so far.

It must’ve rained and been very windy while I’ve been away as there was a lot of debris blown under the door and my flowers are not at all dried out.

Lavender  is still looking good.
I like how my door is going to be framed by oleanders.

It looks like there is going to be lovely weather for the next few days. Temperatures up to 25C.

Wine time now. Tomorrow I need to go food shopping.

Cheers🍷🍷
